A Special Occasion

Today was a very special day for our little girl! Abigail got to meet one set of her great grandparents for the very first time. Abby was sent directly to NICU on her birthday and only the grandparents, aunts, and uncles have gotten to meet this pretty girl. The visitation policy is strict but we got special permission for Memaw and Papaw to come meet her. It was great to have a few moments with four generations all together. The Spurgins came in town because Memaw is having knee surgery in the morning. We were glad they could stop in for a while and we look forward to "G" getting to visit her soon as well.

Four Generations!

Today we started to wean the steroid doses from two times a day down to once a day. On the 12th she will be done with them altogether. Abigail's bilirubin level has remained high but stable. Those darn yellow gowns don't really help her complexion in the pictures do they!

Abigail gets checked out by the Cardio team daily and they keep a close eye on her. She will be having a routine chest x-ray and eccho tomorrow to look at the status of her heart. She has also moved up to 27 calorie formula and man does it stink. It's not hard to understand why it upsets her stomach occasionally.

Thanks for checking in on Abby. You're prayers are much appreciated. Here's a little picture and verse a friend put together if you want something to print out.

That's all for tonight!

Steph and Jody,

The pictures are priceless. The little pink bow on Abigails head is just darling. What a lucky girl she is to have you all as parents. Love to all of you!
