Abigail - Post Op

 
Abigail is still on the road to recovery from heart surgery.  She will be one week post op on Monday and considering what we were expecting, she is doing fantastic.  The doctors are gradually increasing her feeding volumes and the amount of calories she is getting with the formula.  We have settled back in to our routine and we bottle feed her 3 times a day. Our goal for now will be just to work on getting bigger.

 2 Months Old

As I pray over Abigail each time we leave her bedside I ask him to comfort her, heal her and give her strength.  I thank the Lord for blessing us with Abigail, and when we walk away I always end up thinking about how much we love her.  Isn't it amazing though, HE loves her even more.


 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

I said a special Easter prayer for Abigail this morning. I'm so happy to read the update! Keep growing, Little Angel!

Beautiful thought to think about how much He does love us. I was also reminded of how His plan is perfect and He is always in control. I often have to remember that He is in control when we are feeling so helpless. Your blog entry brings that fairly new song to mind "How He loves us Oh how He loves". Love y'all and always praying!

Reading your blog about praying over Abigail each time you leave her bedside evoked a very emotional response from both your Mom and I because we have seen you do this several times and because we know how loathe you are to share private feelings publicly.We both leaked at the eyes because of your encounter and account of this magnificent witness of HIS love. And your love.
